Women's Enterprise Task Force co-Chair Pam Alexander sits on Minister Harriet Harman's roundtable
Women's Enterprise Task Force co-Chair and SEEDA CEO Pam Alexander was invited by Minister for Women Harriet Harman to participate in a roundtable discussion about women in the recession.
The format of the event was a number of round-tables, with a Minister leading the discussion. Each table was made up of a mix of representatives from business, academia, trade unions, advisory organisations, Government and Parliament.
Discussions centred around the needs of women during the recession, particularly providing support for women; and building a stronger economy for the future, through employment, income, caring, education and skills. Participants discussed what measures are necessary to ensure women are equipped and able to realise their potential and play a full part in building a strong UK economy looking to the future.
